When it comes to leveling your Shaman, you have to follow what I call the “3 Golden Rules”. Those rules are mandatory. Play by these rules and you will save hours of your time. But if you don’t you will definitely spend more time and effort on leveing your Shaman.

#1 Golden Rule: Thou Shall Play With The Right Talent Build

When starting your Shaman, you should stick to the most popular and most efficient talent spec: The Enhancement build. It’s not only fun to play it’s also very effective as you will deal massive damage, survive almost every encounter and won’t have to rely on mana.

#2 Golden Rule: Thou Shall Use The Right Attack Rotation

Many inexperienced players make this mistake: They just use their abilities almost randomly.

In the early levels – level 1-39 – I suggest you use this easy attack rotation:

Pull the mob with a Lightning Bolt. Then spam auto attacks and Shocks. As soon as you can switch from Earth Shock to Fire Shock. Once the fight is over, use Healing Touch to recover your lost health.

When you hit level 40 and can finally dual-wield, you should switch your attack rotation: You’ll still initiate with a Lightning Bolt. Then use Stormstrike, Fire Shock and Lava Lash in this order. From now on, use the last three skills once they are off cooldown.

This should give your Shaman leveling power a great boost.

#3 Golden Rule: Thou Shall Not Forget About Glyphs

Never forget to get major Glyphs to boost the Shaman leveling power.

The best Glyphs for Enhancement Shamans are Flame Shock and Windfury Weapons.

When you get to level 40 you can also equip Stormstrike. Now you have three great major Glyphs avalable but can only equip two of them. I suggest you go for the glyph that supports the skill you use the most.
